Superior Smiles Programs:
The Superior Smiles program operates under the State of Wisconsin statutes and guidelines for school based services. This program includes:
- Oral Health: WI Seal-A-Smile
- School Aged Programs
- Head Start and WIC Programs
- Mobile Senior Dental Clinic
The number of children seen in our Superior Smiles, Seal-A-Smile (SAS) Program:
- 2015-16: 7034 children in 71 schools in 14 counties
- 2017-18: 11,259 children in 137 schools in 14 counties
In 2018-19 we have 172 schools in our program, 15 head start and 11 WIC locations. (Program started- 2015)
Farm-to-Patient is a program that helps NorthLakes’ patients achieve wellness goals and prevent illness by providing access to healthy food utilizing area farmer CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares. (Initial wellness program started in 2015 and has since evolved to farm-to-patient program)
School Based Mental Health Services:
NorthLakes Community Clinic is proud to announce our collaboration with area School Districts in offering school based mental health services in a confidential setting, within the school building. School Based Mental Health Services are provided during the most convenient times for the students based on their course schedule. NorthLakes Community Clinic works with the school and family to arrange consistent meeting times for each student receiving services during a course that will not interfere with their academic success. (Program started- 2016)

NorthLakes Community Clinic is working with the Ashland and Bayfield County Jails and inmates to assess their needs and help with transitioning out to reduce recidivism and support successful re-entry into the community. (Program started- 2016, part of the Substance Abuse Service Expansion Grant)
Northern Wisconsin Health Network:
A regional collaborative focused on improving population-based health. Current members include: Ashland, Bayfield, Washburn, and Sawyer County Health and Human Services Departments, and Area Critical Access Hospitals: Ashland Memorial Medical Center, Hayward Area Memorial Hospital, and NorthLakes Community Clinic. (Program started- 2015)
Wisconsin HealthCorps, an AmeriCorps Program©:
We are striving to create a new generation of leaders in community health and seeking to solve serious health issues via national service. Wisconsin HealthCorps promotes healthcare for America’s underserved, while developing tomorrow’s healthcare workforce. Wisconsin HealthCorps is a joint program founded by the Wisconsin Primary Health Care Association (WPHCA) and the Wisconsin Public Health Association.
Wisconsin HealthCorps places 22 AmeriCorps members directly into community health centers and public health departments, to expand and enhance services.
NorthLakes first AmeriCorp member was in 2013.
