Washburn School District's Mental Health Awareness Night
The Washburn School District is hosting a Mental Health Awareness Night for parents on April 22 from 5-7:30pm. A Lasagna dinner will be served from 5-5:30pm, sponsored by NorthLakes Community Clinic. After dinner, visit informational booths staffed by area organizations like New Day Shelter, MMC Behavioral Health, NorthLakes Community Clinic - Washburn, Sources of Strength and Youth Mental Health. At 5:30, informational break out sessions on the topics of empathetic listening, growth mindset, social media safety & when parents should seek help will be hosted by school counselors and area behavioral health providers, including NorthLakes Community Clinic's - Iron River Behavioral Health Therapist, Jen Hodgson, LPC and Washburn Clinic Behavioral Health Therapist/School Based Behavioral Health Therapist, Theresa Ketchum-Fish, LPC.
